Irvine, Calif. -- April 1, 2008 -- Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.announces its long-awaited return to console gaming with World ofWarcraft: The Molten Core™, a spinoff of the 40-person raid dungeonfrom its award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game(MMORPG), World of Warcraft®. World of Warcraft: The Molten Core willallow players to experience the excitement of the hit raid dungeon in acompletely new format, with new challenges and new rewards.

"Blizzard got its start in console gaming, and we've always beenexcited about returning to this arena," stated Mike Morhaime, CEO andcofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "Additionally, we've wanted toreintroduce the 40-player raid dungeon experience for some time. WithWorld of Warcraft: The Molten Core, we're able to do both."

World of Warcraft: The Molten Core will include single-player andmultiplayer versions, fully loaded with nine different shapes (andpossibly colors) representing the current World of Warcraft characterclasses. A future expansion will introduce a tenth shape, representingthe death knight hero class. Blizzard also plans to include afull-featured voice-chat system, as well as a fully customizable userinterface that allows players to personalize their joystick button withseveral different functions. A free attunement cartridge rounds out theoffering, providing instant access to the complete World of Warcraft:The Molten Core entertainment experience.

Blizzard's World of Warcraft: The Molten Core Collector's Edition, alsoannounced today, will include tinted cellophane TV overlays, furtherincreasing the array of colors available to players. AdditionalCollector's Edition features, as well as details on the upcoming Worldof Warcraft: The Molten Core beta test, will be revealed closer torelease. World of Warcraft: The Molten Core will initially be availablefor the Atari 2600 platform, with plans for additional console systemsto be announced in the near future.

这个游戏是在什么平台上设置的呢？XBOX？

里面写着Altari 2600。

如果是游戏机平台的话，效果不是会更好，但是要买台游戏机也不便宜啊，呵呵！

暴雪!! 看来要堵霸世界 网络游戏 和单机的领域了. 哎我可是忠实的粉丝 如果要是出了的话一定要用血汗钱去买一个  拭目以待了. 就得看 视觉的效果能不能给带新鲜的感觉了!我觉得他要出星际二的时候 画面都很强大 这个游戏也应该错不了
